This easy Instant Pot ramen is a fast and flavorful version of the classic noodle dish. Whether you prefer chicken, pork, or vegetables, this recipe can be adapted to suit your taste!



Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packet)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp miso paste (optional for extra umami)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)

Toppings (Optional):

  • Soft-boiled eggs (marinated in soy sauce for extra flavor)
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Nori (seaweed)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sliced pork, chicken, or tofu
  • Fresh vegetables (spinach, bok choy, mushrooms, corn, etc.)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Broth

  1. Turn the Instant Pot to Sauté mode and add sesame oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and sliced ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken broth, water, soy sauce, miso paste (if using), and rice vinegar (if using). Stir to combine.

2️⃣ Pressure Cook the Ramen

  1. Close the Instant Pot lid and make sure the valve is set to Sealing.
  2. Set the Instant Pot to High Pressure for 4 minutes.
  3. After the cooking time is complete, do a Quick Release of the pressure.

3️⃣ Add the Noodles

  1. Open the lid, add the instant ramen noodles, and stir. Let the noodles sit in the hot broth for 2-3 minutes to soften, stirring occasionally.

4️⃣ Serve and Add Toppings

  1. Once the noodles are soft and the broth is flavorful, ladle the ramen into bowls.
  2. Add your favorite toppings like soft-boiled eggs, green onions, nori, sesame seeds, or sliced pork/chicken/tofu.

Tips:

  • If you want spicy ramen, add chili paste or sriracha to the broth.
  • To make a more authentic ramen, cook your toppings (like chicken or pork) separately, then add them to the ramen.
  • For extra richness, you can add a splash of cream or coconut milk to the broth.
