Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs 🥚
Making hard-boiled eggs in the Instant Pot is a game-changer. No need to monitor the stove or worry about overcooking. These eggs come out perfect every time, with easy peeling!
Ingredients
- Eggs (as many as you like, the Instant Pot can fit up to 12 eggs at once)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Instant Pot
- Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
- Place the trivet or a steam rack inside the Instant Pot.
2️⃣ Add the Eggs
- Carefully place the eggs on the trivet or steam rack. The eggs should not be submerged in the water, but they should be elevated above it.
3️⃣ Cook the Eggs
- Close the Instant Pot lid and set the vent to Sealing.
- Select the Manual (High Pressure) setting and set the timer for 5 minutes for soft-boiled eggs or 6 minutes for firm, hard-boiled eggs.
- When the cooking time is up, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, carefully release any remaining pressure using the quick release function.
4️⃣ Ice Bath
- Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for 5-10 minutes. This stops the cooking process and makes the eggs easier to peel.
5️⃣ Peel and Serve
- Gently crack the eggs and peel them under running water for easy peeling.
- Enjoy your perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs!
Tips:
- If you prefer slightly softer yolks, reduce the cooking time to 4 minutes.
- For a larger batch of eggs, just increase the number of eggs, but keep the cooking time the same.
- To store eggs, place them in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Enjoy your perfectly cooked Instant Pot Hard-Boiled Eggs! They’re great for snacks, salads, or meal prep. 😋
