  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  • Rinse and pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  • Make small slashes in the meat so the seasoning can soak in better.

2. Prepare the Coating

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.

3. Fry the Chicken

  • Dip each piece of chicken into the milk and egg mixture, coating it evenly.
  • Then coat the chicken with the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks well.
  • Heat cooking oil in a deep pan to 340°F (170°C–180°C).
  • Fry the chicken for 10–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once fried, place the chicken on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.

4. Serve
